This is the first DVD in a dynamic and practical series that presents the official training method of the International Bodyguard Association (IBA).

The IBA was established by veteran bodyguard Major Lucien Ott in December 1957. The IBA is the oldest and largest bodyguard association, established in Paris in December 1957 by Major Lucien Victor Ott, a much decorated French Para-commando combat veteran. Major Ott developed world class bodyguard techniques for protection agents. As a result of over 50 years of achievement in developing protective skills, the IBA consistently provides the highest level of specialist training to government, military, police and civilian bodyguards.

This DART masterclass is taught by James Shortt, an internationally acclaimed conflict management specialist. James Shortt as Major Ott´s protege and successor has been Director General of the IBA since 1990. Assisted by fellow unarmed combat specialists, Jim demonstrates practical defence methods utilizing impact provided by both methods of striking and projection. Methods of restraint are taught step by step to achieve compliance through locks and constrictions. The "do´s and don´ts" of physical control are underlined in practical Bodyguard scenarios.
